(Mrs.) Elke Flüchter-Stölke pushes CargoSoft E-Invoicing

E-invoicing, the electronic transfer of invoices, is a hot topic in B2B. Companies in Germany are expected to be able to issue and receive e-invoices by January 2025. Transitional periods are planned. Electronic issuance is already mandatory for contracting authorities (B2G). Cargosoft already uses XRechnungen in Germany to fulfill this requirement.

As per latest news-update, e-invoicing will be mandatory in Germany from 01-Jan-2025 (see special-newsletter 2024-09 for details), but will also be used worldwide. “Eastern European countries in particular, such as Romania and Poland, as well as Italy, are already in the process of implementation in Europe,” reports Elke Flüchter-Stölke. Elke as a transport economist (DAV) and trained forwarding agent has been a new member of the CargoSoft team since January 1, 2024 and is responsible for the product launch of e-invoicing.

For her job, she combines her extensive knowledge and experience in forwarding and IT. Elke still knows the company CargoSoft and its TMS application from the “start-up” days. After completing her studies, she started her career at CargoSoft GmbH in Bremen, Germany from 2000 to 2007, where she did “everything” during the start-up phase: support, design, training, testing and consulting. Her subsequent activities always had one constant: the development and introduction of new IT applications such as the roll-out of various TMS or CRM systems.

This is no coincidence, but fits in with Elke’s strengths. “I simply like new things. I enjoy establishing new digital solutions that fit perfectly into everyday forwarding. I need to work in a structured way, understand the user and provide technical support to the developers during implementation,” explains Elke. This also includes theoretical knowledge. In order to be able to provide holistic advice, she completed a Master’s degree in Digital Transformation at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna, Austria in addition to her work from 2019 to 2021. Elke finds relaxation in yoga and music. Here, too, she has discovered something new for herself: the flute. She has been taking lessons for 1.5 years and has thus fulfilled a childhood dream.
