Best Practice NOSTA Group – SRO of German Ports integrated into TMS
The logistics service provider NOSTA Group is at the forefront of managing German Ports’ new “digital release” via CargoSoft TMS. The freight forwarder has thus used the new obligation to provide digital release as an opportunity to intelligently integrate digital information into the import flow.
Mathias Grunwald IT Application Sea & Air NOSTA Group reports on the initial experiences. He sees the integration of German Ports into CargoSoft as an important step towards end-to-end digital import processes. Grunwald explains: “The new connection enables us to control all relevant import process steps from a single interface – from status queries to release. This not only significantly speeds up processes, but above all ensures greater transparency and traceability in communication with the terminals and carriers.”
He rates the option of automatically transferring status messages from German Ports to the shipments as particularly positive. “This significantly reduces manual entries and improves data quality at the same time,” says Grunwald, explaining the benefits. In addition, the integrated dashboard makes daily work much easier. “Direct access from CargoSoft allows us to call up the relevant container in German Ports without any detours, which is a real efficiency gain,” says the IT manager.
Since its introduction in October 2025, the integration has been stable and has been seamlessly integrated into our existing processes. Grunwald’s conclusion: “The cooperation with CargoSoft during the implementation was very constructive and solution-oriented. Overall, we see the direct connection of German Ports as a clear added value for our operational teams and a further step towards a seamless, networked process landscape.”
The NOSTA Group uses CargoSoft TMS as the main system for handling its sea and air freight shipments – making the software the central tool in its day-to-day business.

“The integrated dashboard makes our daily work much easier. With direct access from CargoSoft, we can call up the relevant container in German Ports without any detours, which is a real efficiency gain.”
