The two software companies from Hamburg and Bremen have pooled their expertise to develop the workflow application.

“Don’t forget anything and do everything on time when processing the current forwarding orders!” This requirement accompanies dispatchers throughout their day-to-day work. Workflow functions integrated into IT applications relieve freight forwarders of these tasks. DAKOSY and CargoSoft are currently developing a customized tool for the industry that will integrate forwarding processing, customs clearance and other operational tasks in the future. “The aim is to take our users by the hand digitally in the future and guide them through their orders. We are developing iteratively and in real time so that the first products can be experienced quickly,” outlines DAKOSY CEO Simon Lembke.

State-of-the-art technology for workflow applications

Decoupled microservices in a Kubernetes cluster

Design for high availability and fault-tolerant operation

Automated build pipelines enable updates without service interruption

Successfully proven technology, already in operation for DAKOSY’s Export Management Platform (EMP)

CargoSoft will be presenting an initial prototype for its TMS software at the Transport Logistic trade fair. “We will show a digitalized workflow through a sea freight import order and the resulting interaction with our TMS software,” explains CargoSoft Managing Director Uwe Droste. The pending tasks are displayed in a dashboard. The status function provides an overview, showing which events are still open, in progress or have already been processed.

“The plan is to develop standard workflows for order processing that can be used to map a large part of the order volume. This includes both FCL and LCL processes for import and export,” explains Droste.
